Hello i was thinking about getting a proper set of speakers for my comptuer instead of computer speakers, but i was wondering how this would work. Can i just plug my Surround sound card into a Amp and then plug the Speakers into that?
    Any help would be cool.

Yes you can use the line out on your soundcard. Or if youve got an digital out you can you use that. The amp will have to be set to the aux setting. Hope this helps.

You are likely to need to buy an 3.5mm to two phono lead
