    hi all

looking to correct lipsync problem with dvd & plasma

I know the Denon 3803 has long-enough audio delay function - any other manufacturers or models offer the same?

alternatively is there any kit which I can stick between source and amp that will offer same function (but cheaper of course!)

    cheers

i have the 3803 and it does the job admirably, and sounds great too! i also have used alesis kit, such as the midiverb and quadraverb on the analogue feed between source (freeview box, sky etc) and the amp (prior to buying the denon). i actually have these units up for sale on ebay at present (just search for 'Alesis', you'll find them) - one of them may suit you perfectly?

    Hi Allan,

The new Pioneer AX5i has audio delay, as well as the older (and much dearer) AX10i.

The Pioneer 2011, if you can get hold of it also has audio delay and is a bargain currently.

It has audio delay in regards to time alignment for the main channels etc but not a Master Audio Delay to cure Lip-Sync problems.

Ah I see, bit misleading in the specs :-( Currently still waiting for mine and hoping I get it before they stop making them. Not sure 400 quid more for lip-sync (i-link is no use to me) is actually worth it and hoping I can do the audio delay if required from an HTPC.

Well I use the digital out from the Sky+ box although only films are digital at the mo but ultimately the signal is digital.
