    Hi all,
I demo'd a set of KEF 2005.2 speakers today which are perfect for me.. I said i was going to power them with a Denon AVR1906 and the guy in the shop said that wouldn't really be powerful enough?
    He recommended the Yamaha DSPAX757SE?

Not sure if he just said that to encourage me to buy there and then as he had the Yam in stock and they haven't got the Denon yet..

Anyone know if the Denon will be powerful enough for the KEF 2005.2?

    It's rated at 7x85w..

    Any help much appreciated!

IMHO the denon should be easily enough to power them. I have just checked the kefs are 8 ohms so easy enough to drive. The sales guy might have been trying to get you to buy the Yamaha from them.

The Yamaha would be a good step up from the Denon though and would have plenty of power to drive the Kefs.
