Not looking to spend much money. I also don't want to buy crap. What is a good amp that can power a 4 ohm speaker without going over 700.00? Have been told that Outlaw makes good monoblocks in my price range, but the outhlaw amps are rated at 200 wpc, my speakers can only handle 75-130 wpc.

Don't worry if amp is more powerful than speakers, in fact you should bring out the best in them. As for choice £700 should leave you with many options, maybe try dealers that will home dem or will let you exchange them if you are not satisfied.

Are you in the US or Europe? Outlaw don't sell outside of the US or that's what they told me when I enquired about their Bass manager.

I have MB Quart 530 mains and 330 center
The mains are 4 ohms @85 db
The center is 4 ohms @90 db.

You think the Yamaha RX-V1400 is enough? Or how does NAD or Onkyo sound?

well the mains are quie a load..... not horrendous but not exactly a walk in the park for an integrated design. I'd be more prone to agreeing with the outlaw route

have you been at www.avsforum.com?
