I am considering upgrading my Pioneer vsx859rds receiver. I particularly want to gain more warmth and smoothness, voices especially can be cold and almost shrill sometimes when playing dvd's. If anyone who has upgraded from this receiver would let me know what they think I would be gratefull. I have gone through several different centre speakers so i'm certain that isn't the problem.

    equipment
    Panasonic 28" widescreen TV
    Panasonic Ra71 dvd player
    Pioneer vsx859rds receiver
    Wharfedale diamond 8.3 main speakers
    Wharfedale pacific pi centre speaker
    Wharfedale dfs21 surround speakers
    Tannoy sub10 subwoofer

Also if you think a different dvd player would help please say so.

    Thanks
