    Hi all

I'm looking to upgrade my current receiver (Sony DA50ES) to one with component switching. Ideally I need at least 2 x component input and 2 x component output together with the usual S-Video for PS2 etc.

Anyone got any ideas which makes/models might fit the bill. Looking also for it to be DD EX/DTS ES also.

    Thanks.

Why? Plasma screen and projector seems reasonable to me

Your best bet would be if either did passthrough, failing that an either/or switch of some type after the amp. I've never seen an A/V amp with more than three component inputs and never more than one output. That's just the way it is, come back in a couple of years ;)

Seriously though, I'd email Pioneer, Sony, Denon, et al and express your desire.

    Mike.

Do you know if anyone (Lektropacks or others) does a companonet switch box. IN fact, just a multi way type unit that could feed one component input through to two outputs. Does not have to be switched as I'd only ever have one output device on at the same time.

Seems quite a simple thing to me.

    NAFAIK.

You can wire component through a scart so a good scart switch would the trick. You could even use an i/r-controlled one - I think ardelectronics.com carry some for ~£20.

The Marantz 9200 has 4 component inputs - but just one output.

I've always wandered whether a composite+stereo (3 phono) switchbox could be used for component?? If so Lektropacks do a 1 in 2 out box.

Nothing wrong with your requirement but more than one component ouput on an AV amp/receiver is just rather unusual.
May need to consider the switch box as suggested by the others.
