Ok, so, after some more research, is it true that I can use my receiver's zone 2 inputs to power my passive sub?

Here is a pick of the back:

If so, how do I connect it? Do I go, black/red from sub to black/red (+) or black/red(-) ?

Sorry for the basic questions, and thanks.

This was your thread as well I think?
I don't think this will work, you're saying you want to use the Surr back / front height outputs to power this, however you must remember that the receiver will not really send low frequencies to those outputs.
It might work out cheaper (and definitely easier) to actually just buy a dedicated subwoofer, even if it's not in-wall.

Yes, that was my thread as well.

The tech guys from Monoprice looked at my receiver and said everything would work great.

Returning the speaker today and going with a powered one.

    Thanks
