I am near to having new build house and cinema room completing….
I am moving my existing 5.1 setup into the cinema room…
Pioneer LX59 AV receiver (currently drives all speaker, bi amps the fronts)
B&W CM10 S2 fronts
B&W CMC S2 centre
B&W M1 rears
Rel T9 sub
In the cinema room this setup becomes 5.1.4 with the addition of 4 B&W CCM362 ceiling speakers.
I’m not sure whether to get rid of the lx59 and get some av pre-processor/power amp setup? Or keep the lx59 as av pre processor and to still drive the ceiling/rear speakers, then get some class A/B amplifiers to drive the fronts, plus miniDSP if still intent to biamp the fronts using the receivers pre-outs?
Any ideas which is the best route to take, or hardware suggestions? I want some thing good enough to match the rest of my setup, I could spend up to like £4-5k but to be honest if there’s no real need to I would much prefer to spend like £2k as the rest of the new house building is costing far too much!!
