I haven't seen a thread about America's Army here... While it ain't as cut and thrust as UT2K4... or UT2K3 (where did I get my name, I wonder!) It is a damn good game... esp as its free!

Are there any AA:O players here?! If so, do you wanna hook up with TeamSpeak one time and go play? PM / E-mail me!

Yes, all of the training, sniper school, parachute, medic and special forces.

Currently on 33 honour. I tend to play bridge mostly.

I played it ages ago, but for some reason it was bugged on my PC and when I completed the training it wouldn't save so I could never play online. Gave up in the end. :p

I played it for a while when it first came out, and more occasionally recently, but just got fed up with:
1 - everyone running of all rambo-style, with no thought for communication
2 - there being a lot of _really_ good players on there who know the levels very well, and just seem able to kill me almost as soon as we start.

It's a shame, because I do think it's a great game. I'm on 16 Hon, but am just finding it very frustrating at the moment. Got any tips?

    Interesting comment Solar.

See... I enjoy MOHAA (play most nights online) and played COD. But they are so unrealistic its a joke.

The likes of AA and Operation Flashpoint are the most accurate/realistic games you can play for warfare. I enjoy both of those also.

    Its all preference:

If you want to run round like a loon jumping from heights that would normally kill you and surviving 10 bullet hits and want quick fun then MOHAA and its like fit the bill.

If you want intense, a single bullet kills you or criples you, gameplay where you cant jump around the map dodging gunfire then AA & OFP are for you.

    Me - I love both.

If your looking for realistic military games then try Full Spectrum Warrior on the Xbox (or wait for the PC version)
Strictly speaking its not a FPS. but its still damn good!
Later on this year (or next) youl see a Marines based FPS coming out. I dont remember the title, but i think its something like "First To Fight" blah blah blah...
Then we have games like "Battle Field 2" which looks promising in the realizm department. And possibly even "Brothers In Arms" also looking good. All of these are FPS. And Probably all better that AA. FSW and First to fight are/where made with real military input much like AA was.
