american jvc grdvp9

can anyone explain to me what problems I might encounter with an American bought grdvp9 as opposed to one I buy here in Ireland,as it is roughly four times as expensive here(yes,four,699$,roughly 550 euros versus 2100 euros here).I am most interested in whether all features will be compatible or not
