Im pretty sure that picture has probably been "photoshopped" to give it that extra special look.

Looks exactly the same as my UK model, just with the white background (horrible) instead of the more usual black.

You'll need to be careful Wilto, unless Sony have sorted out the button problem by then.

We have already had reports of a US user who bought an NW-HD5 off the shelf only for it to show cracks 12 hours later.

sonystyle.com is also showing this different font and screen layout. I wonder if they've updated it for the US version.

Personally I just think the screen shot is not the original screen. It is almost impossible to take pictures of a screen without glare or reflection - so pictures of screens are almost always superimposed - in this case, typically in the smoothed over, cleaned up American kind of way...

The screen on the HD5 does NOT look like the pictures... trust me.^_^ The display is very grainy, and the contrast is lousy. In other words, its the same thing you U.K. boys are dealing with.

I saw a pic on the yahoo website, now I'm not 100% if it was the hd5 and it has now gone from the main homepage, but it did look identical to the hd5 and was silver and did have a blue-ish backlight...I'll try and find it

How could it be grainy - you mean blocky?
