cheers mate ermm would this cope with high gaming settings? also i could stretch the budget so is there a better motherboard that could go with this ?

Hi again I've found a better deal, this Athlon II X3 435 seems pretty promising for £65
AMD Athlon II X3 435 2.9GHz Socket AM3 1.5MB L2 Cache Retail Box Processor - Ebuyer
Check out this review:
Athlon II X3 435: AMD's Three-Core, 2.9 GHz, $87 Triple-Threat : Introduction - Review Tom's Hardware
You can see it is very similar to the X2 550 but performs better in multi tasking because of it's 3 cores;)
Also outperforms the X2 250 I mentioned in my previous post:rotfl:

A better motherboard would be this Asus one for £71:
Asus M4A785TD-V EVO Socket AM3 onboard DVI VGA HDMI 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard - Ebuyer

I hope this is all within your budget, I can assure you won't be disappointed:D
