Ambilight On The Wall

Hi all
Giving serious consideration to buying a 65” ambilight tv to put on the wall. My concern is the recommended 10-20cm positioning away from the wall.
Firstly won’t this make it seem imposing on the room as it isn’t flush with the wall (am thinking of the early plasma years when they were miles off the wall and looked awful)
Secondly how would I even install it so it sits this far off the wall?
Much appreciation in advance

Hi, have my 70PUS9005 on the wall using the standard bracket I used for years. Ambilight is absolutely fine. The TV is quite deep anyway, so probably not that far off of 15cm's or so....

I think the lights come out at 45 degrees so is great coverage and not a concern really.. cheers

You could get a hinged bracket so you can pull it out to watch a film put it back against the wall when necessary, they sit a little further from the wall than standard brackets but not by a huge amount.
