Amazon Video sound problems on LG TV

I've currently got an Amazon Prime free trial. We've watched several films through the app on my LG TV and the sound has got progressively worse with each one. The other night the app needed updating and then we started watching something through it but the sound was so bad it was unwatchable. We tried through the Sony blu ray player app and it was fine, no issues with the sound at all. We have no other problems through the TV or with our internet sppeds with Netflix, Sky on demand etc. Has anyone else had problems with Amazon video through their smart TV? Not sure whether I'll pay for Prime but it's put me off renting through Amazon Video in the future anyway.

Update: Watched again through my Sony blu ray player last night and the picture was terrible. So basically with Amazon video I can get a perfect picture through the TV app but poor sound or good sound through the bluray player but a poor picture. Think I'll stick with Netflix.

I had Prime over a year now and had no trouble with the picture well the other night watching a cartoon film twice the picture broke up for a second. But watched Lucifer and although not UHD the picture was stunning I had to check it was only HD.
TV Samsung and hard wired with a 5m lead from my hub to the TV.

Our TV connects over wifi because the hub is upstairs so don't know if that's why but I've never had an issue with Netflix/BBC i player etc.
