Amazon now selling more e-books than Printed Copies

Kindle changes the game in under 2 Years

Just two years after the release of its e-book, The Kindle, Amazon has revealed that it's already selling more electronic publications than it is printed copies. Amazon has said that for every 100 printed books it sells, 114 digital versions are shifted.

Jorrit Van der Meulen, vice president of Kindle EU, said: “As a result of the success of Kindle, we’re selling more books than ever before for authors and


“We hit this milestone in the United States less than four years after introducing Kindle, so to reach this landmark after just two years in the UK is remarkable. It shows how quickly UK readers are embracing Kindle.”

Unsurprisingly, Fifty Shades of Grey writer EL James has been the biggest seller this last 12 months.
