I've just noticed the Amazon mp3 app has an update available, but it's asking for permission to access bluetooth controls.

Does anybody have any thoughts on what might be the reason for this?
A quick google search drew a blank.
My first thought was that it may be DRM related. Gathering information on naughty people sharing music via bluetooth.
Not that I ever do that, but I object on principle to this sort of thing......

By the way. I'm thinking of starting a group called AVF Paranoiacs Anonymous.
We'll meet every Tuesday behind the Home Cinema thread. Bring your own tin foil hat!
    ;)

    From the Androids developers guide...

I would assume its just to recognise where a bluetooth device is used, like a headset or bluetooth speaker.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, that makes sense. Probably something to do with integrating their cloud player I suppose.

I'm always a bit twitchy about this kind of thing, ever since Windows released an 'update' that apparently was able to identify any Microsoft software that it thought wasn't legit and disable it.
