The Science Museum is one of my favourite places in London. Its summer holidays though, screaming kids will be everywhere. Its also a big museum so you can find plenty of quiet places too.

Try V&A opposite - if you have an arty side.
Walk across Hyde Park and go ice-skating at Queensway (screaming kids notwithstanding).
    Row on the lake.
    Wander along to Harrods.

2D "Monsters University" at Empire Leicester Square at 13:45 in THX. But something tells me you don't have that time. :D

"Only God Forgives" today in Empire 1, at 18:40 20:45 THX

"2 Guns" showing at Empire 1, tomorrow in THX

You could take a wonder to Holland Park (one of my favourite London parks and underrated) and then pop in to Leighton House which is quite unexpected and a stunning interior.

    Leighton House Museum

You could then carry on through the park up to Notting Hill and find ‘Books for Cooks' which is another hidden gem. A cook book shop that opens up to a tiny kitchen and restaurant at the back. Each day they select a starter and main from one of their books and a selection of cakes, them menu is set and you just choose how many course you want. The food is delicious and ridiculously cheap.

Books for Cooks - the cookbook shop

Stop for a well deserved pint at The Windsor Castle in Kensington - Home and be sure to sample one of the best Scotch eggs I've ever tasted.

    The National Portrait gallery

Pop up to the Kensington Roof Gardens The Roof Gardens Home

    The V&A

Tate Modern and a stroll around the South Bank.

Look out for the Apollo (CM) command module if they still have it in there?

There is only one way to experience London properly and that is to buy a book and ride round on the tube, trains and buses for hours reading it whilst trying to avoid any eye contact whatsoever.

Or alternatively get the tube to Covent garden and take the stairs to the surface rather than the lift. I guarantee you will never forget it

Sounds like the flying bedstead or Rolls Royce thrust measuring rig. Or Short SC1, or Hawker P1127.

I'd pop over to Bodeans on Poland Street.

    Bodean's BBQ Restaurants in London

They do the best rack of smoked BBQ ribs!

Too late now but worth a visit if you're ever in the area again :)

I thought this was an announcement of your intent to murder someone.

"I'm in London with 4 hours to kill.........

    <insert politician/celebrity name here>!"

Could have been like Jason Bourne but with a time limit.

    Disappointed.

    :(
