    I've bought a LC26GA4E and read a lot of things about powerstrip..................what the hell is it, and do i need it?

    You may not need it.
    Powerstrip is a PC application that enables a PC graphics card to output lots of choices of resolution (including custom ones) ; if you aren't using your new TV with a PC then it isn't applicable.
    Lots of threads about it regularly in the HTPC section of these forums.
