Am i right in saying

Got a panny pw7,
now cable piggy backing video and xbox, are all plugged into dvd home cinema ( via video in ) and a scart from home cinema to panny,
the only connections left are serial and vga, now will a rgb to vga converter give me a better picture ( dvd is great and so is xbox ).
dont want to buy component board cos only the xbox is component.

JS RGB>VGA only works with RGB (VCR will not be RGB) XBOX>DVD>RGB-VGA>panel will work well assume they are RGB capable (xbox needs a cable).....

You are connected with 1 yellow phono I take it then! Heresy, it's the rack for you mate! It's the only way for VCR as Horny says, but really if you think that looks good you ain't seen nothing yet.

The best way is to use the scart, try pugging scart to VCR scart on cable, then to plasma scart, and just connecting the cable with audio to DAVS, this will give RGB from both, when enabled in the menus. Put the cable on standby to get DVD most probably. Make sure you enable RGB, and 16/9 aspect while you are down there...
