    Hi All,

Onestopphoneshop has the K750i free on an Orange contract for 12 months, 10 months at £4.99, last two at £23.

This means I'll be getting the phone for under a £100.

Am I missing something, is there any hidden catches in these deals ?

To buy unbranded these phones are £250.

    Cheers,

    Darrren

Seems pretty normal to me, the phones are subsidised hence the bargain price. The market is pretty swamped with phones these days it seems so the networks are having to work harder to tie people down with a contract.

The only hidden catch is getting your cashback via redemption and onestopphoneshop isnt one of the best in sending your money back on time.

    Thanks for the response guys.

I want to upgrade to the K750i but I only recently upgraded so can't do it on my existing contract for another 10 months. Buying one of these on Orange seems like a reasonably cost effective way to do it, ie buy the phone/contract, chuck away the new sim, use my existing sim, claim back the money.

Has anyone any experience of doing this ? For example is there any hidden usage clauses in the contract ? Will the operator/retailer notice the sim is not being used and do something about it ?

(note I am aware that only an orange sim will work in an orange phone )

    Thanks,

    Darren

If your already on orange contract log onto the orange site log into your account and you can choose to upgrade your phone which you have to pay towards though it maight be better price than buying a k750i pay as you go phone  but your contract will renew once you upgrade through orange site so you know !

    Hi db1234,
Why throw away the new sim that you get with the phone. If you get free anytime crossnet minutes with the phone why not use them?
