Upgrade the Telewest Cable scart to a good scart as the TV is such high def, IMHO it is bound to show up poor feeds and I am having all sorts of problems with my SKY+ feed.:thumbsdow

Perhaps also, you could link the Telewest Cable to the DVD and then, from there, to the TV as anecdotally some DVDs include on-board processors that some people say it can help with picture quality from a poor feed (i am certainly going to try this out tonight too);)

    Cheers:hiya:

Thx for the answers please let me know how you get on with the set up you mentioned + is scart the only way you can go with regards connection to the tv and telewest
And what i did notice is that most of the comments remarking on picture quality and Sky is that its sky thats the problem would the problem still be the same with telewest as its a cable signal
    Many thx
    Steve

ScartRGB is the only way for Sky at the moment. I don't know about Telewest but, if there is an option (unlikely I think), go for component RGB, as net to HDMI, this is the best connection option.

(AV, composite, s-video, scart, scartRGB, component, HDMI/DVI)

    Cheers:hiya:

    Found this info
As far as connectivity goes, around back you'll find one set each of component-video, composite-video, and S-Video outputs as well as digital optical and analog audio outputs
So which cable do i need for the better picture and which do you recomend
    Thx

    In the manual it says
This player features S-video and composite video output possibillities
Now next to the S-video connection is a little yellow socket i take it that thats the composite out ?
It also says Make composite video connections to a standard TV or monitor with a video imput jack
use the supplied video cable to connect one of the VIDEO OUT jack on the player to the video input on the TV or monitor?????
Exactly which cable does anyone recomend
