Okay, I know as much about TVs as I do hangliding!

If I am looking for a new Samsung TV am I better off with a Neo QLED?

I will only buy a new TV every 5 years or so - but would rather buy well etc. Problem is I am not sure which is the better option for Samsungs!

Probably only going for a 50 or 55 inch due to the size of our room or TV cabinet for it to stand on - our current TV is 49 inches.

Always go for 55 inch.

Qned is better. But for most people a qled like a 55 q95t or q90t is also good. Or a sony 55"xh9505 .Or if it doesn't need to be a samsung go for an oled.. ?

Although a 50 inch is a nice size to watch from close-up.. A 55 inch (or bigger) gives so much more immersion,.. for a lot of content.
And like -jay53- above wrote.. the most 49/50 inch are with lower specs.. And 55 inch are so widely available that prices are for same quality better.
For instance, 55 inch oleds are also cheaper than 48 inch..
