I know it sounds daft but I am starting to go off this TV, partly on account of the amount of cheapo silver plastic it contains.

The panasonic cabinet and even the table top stand just make this worse.

Is there a more discreet table top stand that will fit ?

Unless there is I might decide to hang on for a few weeks and stretch my budget to a pioneer 436, which to me is aesthetically much more pleasing.

The only other argument against that idea is that some people are reporting that the panasonic may give a better picture for SD images, which is what I will be looking at for the next year or so.

From what I can see the table top stands basically have two "prongs" sticking up.

Does anyone know if such stands are interchangeable, ie are the prongs the same size and distance apart?

The Panasonic stand is truly horrible!

I might even think of spraying it black if I ever get one!
