I've got an Arcam alpha 7r amp. today for some reason when i switch it on, instead of the usual 2 second wait for the indicator light to go from Orange to Green, it keeps switching repeatedly from green to orange to green etc. Sometimes sticking on Orange. Any indications as to why this is happening ? I've not changed my system in any way and all the other componenents are fine.

    Thanks

Sounds like short somewhere, check all your speaker cable connections are in order at the back with no spare strands touching each other.

Checked. Speaker wire fine. Still switches on and off when I disconnect speaker completely. Is there an internal fuse which can be causing this ?

Best speak to Arcam themselves. Give their customer service number a call.
