'Fringe' duo JJ. Abrams and J.H. Wyman are teaming up for a futuristic new project set up at FOX.

With the final season of Fringe wrapping up this year, FOX has given a pilot commitment to the near-future sci-fi project that tells the story of LAPD officers who now have highly evolved human-like androids as partners.

I see it more like I Robot - imagine at the end if Sunny became Will Smith's partner. Or to put another way, Kirk and Spock go round solving crime. Could be fun :)

Total Recall 2070 had an android cop partner played by karl Pruner. Quite an interesting persona if I remember right.

Karl Urban (Star Trek, Dredd) signs on as [human] LAPD officer John Kennex for the pilot. Described as a respected police officer who has shut down emotionally after a tragic mission left him critically injured.

Edit - The show is called 'Human'.

    sounds quite promising!

Its like a good cop / bad cop (or emotional cop / non-emotion cop) series

Looks alright, but being Sci Fi it may not last that long tbh as you say Rai.
Unless it gets millions of viewers like Fringe in the first few series then it wont last long.

Out of the list Alias, Lost, Fringe were great, the latter two very successful.

    Revolution
    Person of Interest
    Felicity
    Alcatraz
    Undercovers

Where would the world be without 'Lost' tv series? People complain about lack of originality. If someone comes up with one great concept out of say 10 shows they made, i would be pretty happy with that. In reality it's very hard to have hit after hit. You dust yourself down and try with the next concept, like with Almost Human.

wasnt saying his shows arent decent just that they tend to get cancelled by the networks .. which im sure he hates and i think in the ST film he was sore over one of the cancellations lolol

I'm sure you know that they're now mostly his (Bad Robot) exec productions rather than also (co-)created by him ... other flops include Six Degrees and What About Brian ... and current huge hit Person of Interest is possibly bigger than Fringe and Lost were - it's been growing, whereas they settled down to a more modest audience with Fox and ABC staying committed.

His first show Felicity was rather successful and ended with resolution after four full major network seasons, and a earned a Golden Globe for Keri Russell as Felicity (JJ later had her in MI3, and she's now doing nicely in The Americans).
