This old cherry again!!
Sorry but I've been chilling all day, recovering from the night before if you know what I mean? And I've just finished sorting my all my movie stuff out and decided to watch my top 5 back to back.Just wondered what everyone else had in their Top 5. These are in no particular order what-so-ever apart from this first one. The Thing.
The tagline was "Man is the warmest place to hide" nuff said!Kurt Russell was just the best.Remember the first time I saw it, I'd have been around 15/16, started watching at night by myself, no idea where the rest of my family were(In bed I presume), had to turn it off as the dog in the kennell started to turn, scared the life out of me, finished watching it in the light of day, absolute cracker of a film, just re-placing my old TV recorded version with one from 247 bargain at £9.99. Alien.
oh my god!!!In Space No One Can Hear You Scream!! Oh yes and Sod the bloody cat. Jaws.
Show me the way to go home da da da!!I still tell my self "Dont go in the water, do you have a death wish or what"??(Mmmm DeathWish? No I dont think so)Deep Blue Sea? Not in the same league. Starwars.
Of course! How could anyone not be impressed, it blew everything else that had gone before it into the stratosphere and it still looks bloody good today! Blade Runner.
Took my girlfriend at the time to see this at the fliks for our first and last date (It was nothing to do with the film). So dark,so moody, keeps you glued to the screen at all times, superb.. Well thats my Top5, sorry if this post is too long, but I'd be interest in reading your Top fliks, even if its not out on DVD or whatever, just saw "A Knights Tale", loved it, it'll be joining my collection when it's out! Simon
