Plummer blows everyone away on screen as the rich, cold heart, arrogant odd ball fish!
A legend at work! Don't know why they originally picked Spacey, would never have worked.

Nice to know Cas you picked this one....
      Quite a under-rated film.
      Thanks

Thanks for the review Cas. I wasn't sure about this one anyway despite being a Ridley fanboy so on the rental list it goes. He does turn out these sorts of films in between the better ones. I really liked Covenant anyway! :D

Underrated movie... Will undoubtable tower over any series made on the topic... Works as thriller and as an exploration of capitalism vs. family and... individual moral action vs. systems of control (mafia, the law, etc..)...

It's a pity that the movie was overshadowed by the Spacey controversy, but at least we got Plummer as Getty.

      Ridley nailed it!

Getty played to win in business and he did so with his family... He's shown as someone who gets away with things and who always gets his way... Well... Maybe...

I'm glad that they didn't make him a hero, but at the same time gave him a bit of complexity, despite the film not being centred on him...

I liked how they portrayed the tax deductibility, the money aspects.. so good and so rarely seen on screen...

Michelle Williams carried the movie... Always good... They should have replaced Whalberg when they got rid of spacey... so miscast....

      Poor kid...

      Thanks for the review.

This is now in HMV's 5 for £30 here

I really enjoyed watching it today. I had intended watching BlackkKlansman but the editing and poor director craft done my head in so it was a big relief watching Scott's work.

Plummer was brilliant can't really imagine the hamming of Spacey. Only weakness for me was Romain Duris with his 'Allo 'Allo! accent, reminded of countless euro-pudding films of the 70s.

All the Money in the World | HD Movie Trailer...

Wow, I was just reading up on the Spacey removal it would have sunk most projects so just goes to show how immaculate Scott is.

He left Spacey in one scene as they didn't have the time or money I assume to either redo it or CGI it. Seems all the recutting and editing was done in less than 4 weeks.

Very classy compared to that Poundland DVD artwork:

Hopefully one day we'll get a look at it.
