    Hi all,

Im looking for a new BR player to replace an old pioneer unit. I understand that all BR players should play BR's equally well but I'm also looking for it to do the following:

    Upscale DVD's to 1080p well
    Be quiet in operation
    Quick to load disks

I'm not that worried about Smart apps, if they're there then great but not a deal breaker. I have just ordered a Sony HW40ES PJ and am therefore not concerned about 4k in the near future either. The Oppo 103 is a little over budget and was considering the Panasonic BDT700. Can anyone recommend others that fit the requirements? Was also looking at the Sony and Samsung players but the Panasonic seems to get better reviews for upscaling DVD's.

    Many thanks for any suggestions.

Your TV is going to upscale as well, possibly better than the Bluray player so I wouldn't get too hung up on what the player does.

Thanks for moving to right place and the response. After reading the reviews the Sony S55000 or even S7200 seems to fit the bill quite nicely. Will probably opt for the 7200 as it will fit the rack more evenly.
