Clearly there are a lot of people on here who know their stuff.
Here's a chance for them to exercise that knowledge!

With every type of gadget/machine/thing there are sweet spots were you can expect to find the best within that price range. I read people asking for advice on the best for under £200, or £300 or whatever.

What can I expect in terms of quality for an all-in-one that costs under £200?
Where do I have to go price-wise to expect better quality?
I know for instance that people can and do spend over £100k on hi-fi but that's silly money for most people.
If I buy a £1200 TV what do I have to spend to get the most out of it in terms of audio and DVD playback?

What would be your choice of all-in-ones at, say, £200, £400, £800?
