    Hi,

I've currently got a Samsung 709 DVD Player, it's capable of Dolby Digital and DTS.

I'm thinking of getting the Pioneer VSX-C301 as my amp/receiver but because I'm blowing most of my budget on this I am looking for some budget surround speakers.

I've seen the Eltax Cubic and Eltax Spectrum 5.1, or the Limit HC36.

Am I wasting my time getting these budget speakers?

Should I dump my current DVD player and get an all in one system?

    Any advice gratefully received.

I rather like the little eltaxes, if they are what you can afford now, then why not? They are not a massive outlay, and you could upgrade them when you have more to spend in a year or 2

Definately go the seperates route as it offers better performance and upgrade options over an all in one solution imo.
