I was hoping to find lots of postings here about failed recordings for friday. Looks like I'm the only one.

Three failed recordings, different time slots and channels.

    Mick, you're not alone

Except mine all failed on Thursday, twice on some of them because we reset them for a later time in the early hours of Friday morning

    Bless Sky

On further investigation, I have no signal or signal lock on input 2. A reboot has restored it. Lets see if X factor records tonight.

I had my first failed recording Wednesday. What causes this?

I've been getting this recently, and I've discovered that the problem seems to be Sky Anytime.

I turned Sky Anytime off for a few days and I had no failed recordings, but as soon as I activated it again, everything failed on my Planner (including programming that hasn't even recorded). Right now, I've got it switched off and everything's working fine.

It's a shame, though - didn't mind seeings movies and such a few days before they premiered on Sky Movies, but I'd rather have my recordings.

I had this problem a while back and there were quite a few threads on this matter.

I was getting a lot of failed recordings when the weather turned nasty.

I had my dish checked by a local installer and he found it was loose. Since then i have not had a single problem but the weather has been quite good.

I think we still had a week of the wet weather and it did not play up then.

Fingers crossed when we get bad weather again it remains reliable as putting all your recordings in again is a real hassle.
