Question Aligning dishes

when you align a dish are there certain transponders you can align to or is there a setting on pro meters that can give best overall signal you use.

Are there any tutorials on pro meter setup usage?

I can align using signal quality ok but would like to know the pro way of doing it

I for one used to always lock onto the correct Sat by using a strong TP, then for fine tuning, use a weaker one.
