I need to align a new dish for Sky and would like to know to co-ordinates for Menorca and if there is an analog transmision from 28 deg to help.
What size dish should I get? Do I need in excess of 1.5 meters for the ITV chanels or even 2 meters? (I have a flat roof, so a large dish is no problem except for cost and mounting)

    Hi

I cant help with the orientation as the guy who knows is not around for another month or so.

On the site where i live/work in Torrevieja, Alicante to pick up Sky digital you need at least a 1.2m dish preferably a 1.5m or larger. Seeing as you can roof mount it that shouldnt be a problem, just make sure its well secured for when we get the storms!

    cheers

If you don't have a meter, I would recommend that you look at this page on Jens's site http://home.online.no/~jensts/Satellite/lookangles.htm It has already some Spanish locations and if not you just need to find your own lat. and long.

You only then need to adjust the time from UTC to local (+2 Hrs to Summer CET) and line your dish up with the sun at the given time of day, and set the elevation given. Don't worry about all the other details given.
