    Hi,

Bored of my current set-up so I am moving on my much loved Alienware X51 desktop PC. PC is in great condition BUT for some reason LED's on the side panels don't light up and I never really investigated why as I used it in a rack so would have had them turned off anyway :)

Comes with Windows 8 license and the larger 330w power brick.

You will need to supply your own cpu, gpu, hd and ram.

    Price and currency: £200
Delivery: Delivery cost is not included
Payment method: Paypal Gift or BT
    Location: Eastbourne
    Advertised elsewhere?: Not advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I have no preference

Hi There. Interested, but based on the price of this one (which had CPU too), seems very expensive unless I'm missing something?

Sorry, which X51 are you referring to as there is no link in your post?

That sold in 4 hours and people were fighting over it!!! so reckon that was a very good deal and looks like the difference is a cpu vs windows COA.

I am happy to listen to offers as this needs to be on display rather that stuck at the back of my cupboard :)

What CPU did this have & what memory fits it? Will give me an idea of what else it'll need to get it working again?

    I was using a i5-2400k and 2 x 4gb g.skill ripjawsX 4gb ram plus the EVGA GTX660 gpu.

Can say that it runs near silent due to the fantastic cpu cooler and external psu.

I'll do a bit of pricing up & see how it compares with getting a complete system

Hi again. Do you know if it's restricted to an i5? Not too up to date on motherboards to know exactly what this would take. Can you ping a link to processor & memory on amazon or somewhere?

    Thanks!

Hi There. Still interested, but think I may be better getting a complete version - what's the best you would do this for delivered?

Difficult :(. I know a well known auction site isn't a valid comparison, but just watched a complete i7 version sell for £401

Hi There. Still interested but around £400/450 max looks like the going rate for the i7 version, so struggling to think I could make one anywhere near that with the price of the missing bits. Give me a clue on what you'd accept :)

I have set a fair price and as I have said it is upto you to make an offer. You can pick up up 8gb of ram (£30), ssd (£40), gpu ( gtx660 £60) so that just leaves the cpu.

I am considering selling this with the inclusion of a crucial 128gb ssd and an i5-2500k for £300 which saves the buyer having to re-install windows ( it will have windows 10 installed ) and then only ram and gpu will be needed :)
