Found this news article, with all the talk of burn in and especially games being one of the culprits I wonder whats testing Alienware/Dell have done to the panels to see it will be of concern.

Alienware's 55-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor is pure eye candy

Interesting non the less to see they have gone with OLED.

Just been looking at this and way over due for a OLED Monitor
My question is will this be any good for Movie Only playback ?
Hearing Poss Dolby Vision support and its Hdmi 2.1 .

Been after a OLED Monitor for years better if it was a 65inch .

This would be better for me I’d just use my Apple TV for Netflix etc, somfir gaming it would be great better if it was 65 inch

Hearing circa $3000.00 ouch !
Lets hope more start releasing OLED monitors and prices fall .

WTH ! how much !!!

There the only ones on the market with this tech so prices will be high
Fingers crossed its Retail price and maybe cheaper once released .
But were in for a long wait .

Hoping for more manufactures now coming with Oled Monitors .

Hearing from who exactly?

Less than $3999.00 Dollars

Wether that makes it £3990.00 uk pounds who knows but coming Sept .

They probably already included the costs for one or two panel replacements within that price. :rotfl:

If 1 dead pixel found and within gtee will replace panel to .

i seriously wonder what there screenburn/ware conditions are in there warranty. People who spend that kind of money on monitors normally have them on loads and live on there PC so this is going to be interesting. I am guessing there going to kick into HDR mode too whenever a HDR game is active etc.

Another thing if you wanted to game on a 55inch OLED wouldn't a TV OLED be cheaper and just as good? HDMI 2.1 allowing for what that monitor can do and better is appearing right now. If i wanted a 55 inch computer OLED screen, I would look into HDMI 2.1 supporting TV OLEDS price saving would be very good!

Have Dell pulled this from sales ?
cant seem to find it no more on Dells site .

almost a 1.5-2 year thread bump :) Id guess Dell knew it @ that price range it was too high and difficult to produce or sell.

I would wait for LG to get 42" oleds going (hopefully this fall) they will probably be more affordable(guesstimate 1-1.3K) and better options for PC or Console gamers or even just for Work even. LG did suggest they are also doing 31" oled screens but that maybe 2022.

Yes there price was eye watering compared to a conventional 55 oled tv
prices did drop but not enough as such .
