Does anyone know if the Alien Quadrilogy boxset will get a region 2 release? I certainly hope so, especially after coming across some of the rumoured extras for the four films.

IIRC there's no news on a R2 release as yet.

Haven't seen any official mention of an R2 release; I'd have thought it's bound to happen though.

Was mentioned in a recent copy of Empire that it might hit our shores before Christmas. I certainely wouldn't take that as a fact though. The same article mentioned that it may come in at under £100...

    I have already pre-ordered the R1 for £33 :)

Heard Mark Kermode talking about this release on Radio 5 Live (his documentary is included) and he reckons the 3rd film won't be re-cut according to Fincher's original vision.

I wish DVDSoon took Solo! :(

Anyone know of a place I can pre-order this for 33 quid with a Solo Card?

BTW, Hi 8-]! Missing your Bill updates at the 'other place' :D

    :D :smashin:

Yep. But Fox don't usually do bilingual releases so it should be the same as the US R1 release. Also they were selling it for $68.98 a few weeks ago which was when a lot of people pre-ordered - hence the £30-ish price. It has since gone up to $91.98 but its still a decent price.

Hopefully it'll drop back down again before Novemeber.

One thing about the bilinguale covers on dvd soon's website - they are displayed in the listing with a (v.f.) at the end of the title. If it doesn't say (v.f.) then its the same release as the US. Strangley they also seem to charge more for the biligual too.

Sorry mate, but have to differ there. I've ordered loads of stuff from Soon, and some covers are still bilingual, even the non (v.f) ones. To list a few: Bourne Identity; Spy Game; Scorpion King; Minority Report; Blade 2. They have now started putting (bilingual) next to the titles, which hopefully will be a little more accurate.
