Is there any difference between the content of the R1 and R2 versions of this set?
    Edited films, more/less extras etc?

    Thanks
    Andrew

Been a few threads about this before mate, below are the differences...

"Region 1 allows you to listen to the audio commentary with either version of the film, but on the Region 2, the tracks are available only on: "Director´s Cut" of "Alien", "Special Edition" of "Aliens", "Theatrical Release" of "Alien 3", and "Theatrical Release" of "Alien: Resurrection". Further more, on the Region 1 discs, you can view an optional "deleted footage" marker, and you´re also able to view the "deleted footage" from the theatrical cut's "Supplements menu". Both of these options are missing from the Region 2 discs. R2 is also missing the "script to screen comparisons". Both cover and menu designs differ slightly between the Region 1 and 2 discs."

As you can see, the differences are nothing major so guess it is upto you, im getting the Region 2 release just because it was only £39.99 and I should have it either tomorrow or tuesday.
