    Hi

Dying to get this, and was about to order R1 version, which i understand is now shipping, but then came across pics of the R1 & R2 versions, the R1 version looks a bit like a Band of Brothers type fold out, wheras the R2 looks a lot sturdier, can someone please confirm whether this is the case?

If so I shall be getting the R2 version, as I expect in my hands the R1 version wont last as long, the differnces (if any) are not to great.

Although I agree that the R2 looks stronger, I do prefer the R1 packaging... looks a lot nicer.

I don't think my origami skills would cope with the R1 disc holding packaging. I reckon the R2 will hold up better as a flip-book style rather than a seven foot long cardboard snake. I already went for the R2 and I'm not going to change. The outer box sleeve of the R2 is more in keeping with my own ideas of what an Alien box set should look like regarding pictures and stuff, the R1 sleeve looks a bit too poncey for me:blush: but theres no way I'd want to roll out a seven foot carboard carpet runner just to get to disc 9.....

I like the look of the R2 packaging better, but opted for R1 for 2 reasons:

    1. £15 cheaper at £35 delivered
    2. The R2 packaging looks the same as Babylon5 S3 and that is plagued weith discs coming loose in shipping and being scratched to buggery - like Disc 2 & 4 are in my B/S.

I agree.. I a have the Dune Spec Edition which had the same style book packaging.. one of the discs was loose when I got it and scratched to bits.. the actual disc holder was very loose and due to the space between discs it can move about all the time once loose.

My R1 is on its way!

(Though I really wish they had used double amarays instead!)
