Alien Quadrilogy Boxset error
When was that ruined Earth added to Alien Resurrection!?
that's the extended version's alternate ending. there's a different beginning too although the beginning is rubbish.
Thanks. I may see if I can get my hands on a copy. I have other versions, but I could do with a complete set.
and so is the middle... and the end...
Got mine today
Bloddy posty just left it on the doorstep though, didnt ring the bell, didnt pop a note through the letterbox, nothing! Lucky it didnt get nicked!
Has everyone checked they have the correct disk 3 "Aliens"
with the theatrical and extended versions of the movie as the first menu.
Theres not much you can do really if its not the correct disc is there?
What apart from getting it replaced you mean?!?.
If you have only just bought it you can get it replaced yes. I meant for people that have it didnt know about the error, they are stuck with it, or bought it on the forums here or ebay etc.
i bought mine ages ago, but i checked anyway and gladly my disc is fine
Got my £29.99 copy today and it has the correct disc 3. Does anyone have discs that a bit tight to get out. I may have to take them out permantly as I don't want buggered up discs.
Has there been any recent examples of the Aliens film disc being the incorrect one?
No offence OP but £30 isn't all that much of a bargain. You can get it for roughly that elsewhere.
yes, my disk purchased from amazon in the last month.
I wrote to 20th century Fox (email and snail mail), but they don't bother to reply, so I couldn't get it replaced. Amazon offered to replace it, but all their stock was the same, so that wasn't much help either. As amazon sold it to me for £15 delivered, a refund was not a good option. In the end I purchased the Aliens SE on it's own and substituted the disk at my own expense £9. (so the boxset cost a total of £24)
Just because it can be bought at the same price elsewhere doesn't make it any less of a bargain. Where can you get it cheaper (especially on the high street)?
I have seen it for £45.99 and up at the places I know and Amazon wants £54.99 for it at the moment.
yeah, the disc holders are what i affectionately refer to as "squeakers" because they hold the discs so tightly that when you try and remove the disc you are greeted with that horrible nails-on-blackboard type of noise. On the other hand, sometimes they don't hold the discs quite well enough, a couple of my discs fall out sometimes.
nice box, 9 discs, 2 all time classic movies and 2 fun popcorn movies (all of which come in normal and extended versions) and some nice dts soundtracks:- i'd say £30 is a bargain any way you look at it
Some discs come out easily but a couple will not come out without beding. The disc are going in a new case (probably SVP's 10 disc case).
I suffered from many cracked discs in Star Trek DS9 and TNG sets due to similar digistacks.
Just got mine, total bargain, checked disc 3 right away all is well
Fox have finally written to me and offered to replace the disk 3
What should I do, send it back for replacement, or keep it as a rarety?
Have they asked for the disc 3 back?
Have you got some contact details by any chance.
