According to the US TV Guide, the first season of Alias will be released on DVD on September 2nd.

Executive producer J.J. Abrams talks about his plans for the DVD:

"There are going to be a lot of great special features. When I filmed the pilot, a good friend of mine shot like eight or nine hours of behind-the-scenes footage and did interviews with most of the cast. So, in addition to a number of other really cool features, we're going to edit together a behind-the-scenes piece on the making of the pilot."

I can't decide whether to order the region one or the region two version of Alias.
dvdcompare don't have the region one details... but from looking at amazon I think they are both the same - they are both anamorphic with the same features. Anyone got this yet and know any different?

    Thanks :smashin:

Just watched the first episode last night. Picture was pretty good. Sound wasn't up to much tho. A bit bright and little use of the .1 channel or rears.

I'm hoping this was just the Pilot and that the main episodes have better sound.

Just finished watching the entire Series [R1] and I must say WOW. I knew nothing about it until I picked the box set up last week. It is truely the best thing I have ever seen on TV [not seen 24 Season 2 yet....]. Nothing really to add, I wacthed the 18 minute diary on making the Pilot which was cool. Not seen the other featurettes or listen to the commentries...

Roll on 2nd December for Season 2....

If you think that was good, wait until season 2 (Out on DVD in December, region 1). It'll blow your mind.

BTW, I believe Channel 5 are about to air Alias, Season 2.

    Mark.
