Oliver Stone has announced that he is going to recut Alexander again, and release a 3hr 45min version. Can this film be saved, like Scott did with his Kingdom of Heaven Directors Cut, or does Stone have nothing else to do?
If Stone didn't like the theatrical version, which is why he did the first directors cut, then why didn't he put the additional scenes in the first time?

The theatrical cut IS the director's cut. It was the movie he wanted (and was allowed) to make. It was a shame that, after the poor critical and commercial reaction, he felt it necessary to tinker with the DVD release. Why on earth he needs to cut it for a third time god-only-knows. Leave it alone man !

Maybe he feels he is on a roll with all the good reviews for World Trade Center!
