I am wiring up my telephone system in my house to accept adsl and have purchased a faceplate splitter and a length of cable with 2 male RJ45 plugs fitted on each end.

I am getting the speedtouch modem and was wondering if it is possible to remove the cable that comes out of this modem and plug in my rj45 cable, or if this wire will not come out then I'll have to cut off the male rj45 on my lead and fit a female connecter to accept the modem lead.

I know I could wait until they send the modem and check then, but I'd like to have it all ready to go as soon as possible.

    Cheers,

    Chipper
