Anyone with experience of Aiwa DVD players? Are they multi-region hackable via the handset (doesn't look too promising based on searches here)?
I ask becuase I want to replace my old VHS video and buy a basic DVD player until some cheaper PAL progressive players arrive to pair with my new plasma.
This new combi DVD/VHS looks good - due out in the next couple of weeks:

According to the above specs, the DVD has digital audio out and component video. The VHS has all the normal features and an "ad-skip" function that sounds handy.
I rang QED.co.uk and they estimate a price of around £225 which sounds OK to me.
