Trying to get creative now, quality bit naff on some, but trying a Different approach...
hey not bad John, not bad at all!
pretty good, but I like your usual stuff better...it's nice to see the full aeroplane, having said that, the fools rush in shot is really cool.
Chromed prop middle boss (or whatever its called) gets my vote. like the sense of movement/power and the reflection
He made me do it.....
Unfourtunatly I just missed that one....got blur/out of focus...bummer eh?
Its called a 'Spinner'..
Me " I need to get out more and take more pictures ...going to the cricket was fun"
Mrs " Why don't we go to an airshow? "
Could have knocked me down with a feather - last thing I expected.
Could be going to Duxford before too long.
Supposing... just supposing I was thinking of buying one of these 100-400 beasties... where would you reccommend I look ?
Cash payment place preferred to keep it off the cc statement
Looked at completed ebay sales and £820 ish seems about the going rate for recent used.
Well....you left it a bit late into 'The Airshow Season', but there are a few good ones left yet........
Got my lens from 'Kerso' on ebay, (£830 new),...he will deal direct too, check over at POTN, or I can give you his email....
Couple of links that might interest your Missus......or maybe you..
Sunday the 11th seems possible for Duxford.
Kerso has nothing for sale at present + looked through recent feedback... no large zooms.
POTN pm sent anyway.
I believe he's been on hols, and his other half has been ill...
I'm not sure if he's trading on ebay at present, but hopefully can sort you out privately..(my 100-400 was a private deal)
Typical you might be on for the 11th at Duxford..me away for a long weekend...
Aperture Photographic had one on their site for £890 (mint) - it's sold now though. I've bought a couple of bits off them before now (lens and flash) - they're a good place to deal with and you can usually haggle them down a few quid...You get a 6 month guarantee too. Might be worth keeping an eye out.
Kerso's prices seem pretty hard to beat though.
He has quoted £875 delivered. Guess the exchange rate is not what it was.
May still go for it....
I pretty much had the one below on the back of a leather bomber jacket years ago. was used on planes to i think
Sounds about right, it was $1.94 to the £ when he quoted me...
Only $1.79 today...
