I got the Ailiens dvd box set and Drunkenmaster (all R2). The Ailiens dvd featurettes do not have any sound, the film is fine and all the other dvds work ok.
On the Drunkenmaster dvd after about halfway through, track 12-14, the picture intermitantly starts to get block eventually getting worse and making it unwatchable.

Both discs are spotless, brand new out of virgin and i've never had anyother problems with the player (wharfdale dvd750) or other discs before, rented/new/seconhand. I always make sure any discs I use are clean and if not I carefully clean them (bloody blockbuster!) The player is connected via RGB scart to a widescreen grundig tv - but i'm sure thats not a problem.

Anyone got any suggestion why this is and how to remedy these problems.

Any help would be great because these are my two favourite films. ;)

    Hi Ulti

    Is your player a 750 or 750s ?
I have the 750s and have no problems with the R2 Aliens from the box set (don't have Drunken Master)but before swapping it out for a 750s, by bruv-in-law had the earlier 750, and he had a few problems with some disks - especially the special features. For example, he had problems with disk 2 of the Gladiator set, yet with the 750s, I have no problems. It was widely known that the 750 had some bugs, hence the upgrade.
In fact, I believe that there were 4 or 5 revisions of the 750-750s in total...

(not much help I know, but maybe a bit of an explaination...)
