    Hi All,

I am after a fanless cpu cooler for my 4200+ X2 sk939 for my HTPC. I have spent some money on quietening my HTPC, which is now really quiet, but I can still hear my CPU Cooler (CNPS9500A). I have looked at sites like Quietpc.com, and seen lots of fanless looking coolers, which seem to have fans attached - so still stumped for what I should go for....

It will be going into a Silverstone LC17 Case

It will be used only as a HTPC, so no games etc. I do have it slightly overclocked by about 5%.

    thanks all.

How about a Silverstone NT01 v2.0 I used one with a pentium 4 2.8 northwood and it worked brilliantly. Its worth checking the mount direction though as you want the heat spreaders to be near the rear fans on the case.

I dont really know how hot the amd's get not had one for a while, you might want to check before you go for passive cooling.
