    Hi everyone

Anybody know where to get an adaptor to plug an ordinary rf aerial into this player? The socket for the supplied aerial seems to be totally non standard...not mini uhf, not mini jack. The supplied aerial can pick up a strong signal, but i need a better aerial to pick up freeview at home. Any info on what the connector is would be greatly appreciated as mustek technical support arent replying to emails on the subject.

i had the same problem as you, i emailed mustek and got this reply
    Dear Customer,

up to now there is no Adapter available.

You must build a Adapter by your self.

so in the end i had to cut the supplied ariel lead in half and re connect it with a male and female RF connector. now i can connect my house ariel and a small portable booster for when i am out and about. by the way am very impressed with the dtv 408.

    thanks for your help roym

looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and do some diy myself. Seems so strange that they supply all manner of leads with the player which i could easily buy at maplins if i wanted them, but the one adaptor which is totally non standard they fail to give you! I too am very impressed with the 408 as well.

using the info from roym i ordered the connector from the german website. They want u to order 50 euros worth of stuff to make shipping worthwhile, otherwise its £15 to ship a 50p widget! It took about 10 days to arrive, then just soldered it to one end of a standard aerial extension lead et voila. If ur not too handy with a soldering iron I'm sure a local electrical shop will do it for a small fee

    Hi
I would be gratefull if you could post how you get on with the adapter.

I'm thinking of purchasing one of these but only if i can connect to to my house's tv distribution cabling.

    thanks
