    Hi,

I'm installing a freeview box (humax PVR-8000T) and I will need a 14 meter (45 feet) cable to reach the aerial socket on the other side of the room. The question is, is this too long and likely to degrade performance. If not, what kind of cable should I be looking for and any other advice greatly apreciated!! Can I get something from maplin?

    Thanks gents,
    Nick.

    cipher99,

Provided that you have a good enough signal in the first place, 14m of cable won't cause any problems.

Any reasonable quality co-ax will do Maplins do this. Take care with the connections and it'll be happy viewing.
