I'm not sure on prices but i know the M can be had for £90 delivered, i was wondering how the Scandyna 2.1 set match up?

Basically, if the scandyna can be bought for £200-£250 and is as good performance-wise as the Aego i'll seriously consider it as they look great. That said, i've no idea how much the scandyna set are

i'm currently looking at the Scandyna 2.1 setup as well (to hook up to my HDTV)

they look sweet and their reviews seem to be pretty good aswell.

I'm just waiting to see what colour TV cabinet i get for the new house before i decide which colour (black or white) to get.

let me know what you get:thumbsup:

I'd also try to look for PC 2.0 speakers, surely better quality overall than sub speaker & bundle.

I'm a bit of a bass head, i think i'd need the sub. I know good bookshelf speakers etc go a long way but i dont think i can have a party without a sub

A good quality floorstanding pair will still sound better than a PC 2.1 system though. And you can add a proper subwoofer later. Of course depends on your budget. If £100 is your limit then you'll have to get PC system.

ok lets say i'm prepared to go up to £250, as thats the price of the scandyna set, can you give me an example of what floortstanding pair i could get for that?

but then again, i'd need an amp with that right?

Yeah. For £250 you're won't be able to get quality seperates. I'd buy the best quality amplifier you can now, just use cheap speakers (or ones you already have) same up a few hundred pounds.

Thing is if it's just for parties I'd just buy a pair of Cerwan Vegas or other "PA" speakers.

i just remembered i have some great speakers in storage but they are pretty big, all i need is a good value amp i guess. Is there a really obvious choice for ~£100, one that is way ahead?

well, i might be a little naive, but T3 magazine say that the whole 2.1 set (no dock) is £250 from amazon, they sell the black and white model but they are listed almost identical you have to look at the product code.

It looks like its the whole 2.1 set for £250 but i'm not 100% sure, was going to call amazon before ordering to confirm

I've found it at Atlantic Electronics for £250 all in.... not sure how reputable they are though, they seem a good £50-100 cheaper than others for Scandyna
