I'm sorry if this has been posted before. I did a pretty thorough search before posting and couldnt find a decent answer.
Panasonic seem to avoid the issue. All they have is a subnote stating 'The length of time that it takes for the lamp to break or fail to illuminate varies greatly depending on individual lamp characterisitics and usage conditions'. How clever of them.
I found 2 sources saying 5000 hours in Eco mode. 1 just said 3000hrs. Can any experts here confirm this? If it's definately 5000 hours, I'm sold.
Also, is 5000hrs common for newer projectors, or was this one of the selling points of the AE700? (and the AE900 if it has the same life).
